Carinthia House

Kärntner Sparkasse: The stately, three-storey building is an excellent divider between Main Square and Lower Square and also an end point to square-like Spitalgasse on the southern side. On the façade facing the Main Square, a portal porch was built around the middle of the 16^th century with two pillar domes one above the other. The house was renovated by the St. Veit savings bank in 1960 and turned into a banking institute. Documents prove that the building was used by the Spanheim families as an administrative office building.
